Access requires only a self-declared confirmation that you are 18 or over and accessing the catalogue in a research capacity. We do not verify institutional affiliation.

Accepted Answer

No. Every compound is for in-vitro laboratory research only. No compound is supplied as a medicine, a supplement, or for veterinary use, and no guidance on administration is provided or will be provided on request.

What happens if a compound cannot be listed to my location?

Accepted Answer

A small number of compounds carry destination restrictions, stated on that compound’s page. An order placed for a restricted destination is blocked at checkout and, if one is placed in error, cancelled and refunded in full.

Who is responsible for compliance once an order is dispatched?

Accepted Answer

The research user. That includes compliance with the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002, or the equivalent regime in their jurisdiction, covering receipt, handling, storage, use and disposal.

What does "in-vitro laboratory research only" mean in practice?

Accepted Answer

The compound stays in a laboratory setting. It is not for human or veterinary use, not for the diagnosis, treatment, prevention or cure of any condition, and not for ingestion, injection, inhalation, topical application or any other form of administration. No guidance on preparation, quantity or administration is provided, and none will be provided on request.

What has to be confirmed before an order can be placed?

Accepted Answer

That you are 18 or over, that the compounds are ordered for laboratory research only, and that they will not be used for human or veterinary consumption or for any medical, diagnostic or therapeutic purpose. The confirmation is a separate box at checkout, unticked until you tick it, and the time, a truncated IP address and a record of the exact wording shown are kept with the order.

Do you provide Certificates of Analysis (COAs)?

When a batch is released, it is independently analysed and its Certificate of Analysis is published before that batch is listed. Your batch number then links to the report at Verification. Specimen documents on this site demonstrate that layout only and are not genuine laboratory reports.

What analytical methods are used?

Accepted Answer

Two methods are used for released batches: high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) for purity, and mass spectrometry for identity confirmation. No other assay is performed or implied for any compound in this catalogue.

Does a batch’s result apply to every vial of that compound?

Accepted Answer

No. A Certificate of Analysis reports on the specific batch identified on it. Results for one batch do not warrant any other batch, past or future.

How do I find the Certificate of Analysis for the vial I am holding?

Accepted Answer

Enter the batch number printed on the vial label at Verification, or go directly to protocolpeptides.co.uk/verification/ followed by the batch number. Once a genuine report is published, the record resolves by exact match.

My batch number does not resolve to a record. What do I do?

Accepted Answer

Check for a transposed character and try again. If it still does not resolve, email us with the batch number and your order number. Before launch, only specimen demonstration records are shown.

When is a Certificate of Analysis published?

When the batch is released. The report is published against that batch number before the compound it belongs to becomes orderable. It is not held back and it is not issued only on request. Specimen documents on this site are for demonstration only.

What is on a Certificate of Analysis?

Accepted Answer

On a released report: the batch number, the compound and its presentation, the date of analysis, the purity figure measured for that batch by HPLC, and the identity result returned by mass spectrometry. Those two methods are the whole analytical panel and no further assay is performed or implied.

How should the purity figure on a certificate be read?

As a measurement of the batch named on that document, not as a threshold applied to the catalogue. When a genuine report is published, we publish the figure the analysis returned for that batch. A result for one batch does not warrant any other batch, before it or after it. Specimen figures are labelled as specimen values.

Is an account needed to read a certificate?

No. Once a record is published, it is readable at Verification without an account, and the batch number printed on the vial resolves straight to its report.

A sealed 3ml vial, one compound per vial, labelled with the compound, the strength and the lot number.

What does "Awaiting batch" mean?

The compound has not yet had a released batch listed, so it cannot currently be ordered. It remains catalogued, with its full research context and compliance record, and becomes orderable once a batch is released with its Certificate of Analysis.

Can I order a compound before its Certificate of Analysis is published?

No. A compound is not orderable until a batch has been released and its Certificate of Analysis published, on the client and on the server. Specimen documents do not satisfy that requirement.

Prices are shown in pounds sterling, and the price you pay is the price displayed at the point you place the order. Payment is taken by our payment provider, and full card details are not held by us. Yes, under the 14 day right to cancel, which runs from the day after the goods arrive and holds for as long as the vial seal is intact. Email us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and photographs of the outer packaging, the inner packaging and the vial, or within 7 days of the expected delivery date where nothing has arrived. If a seal is broken or the packaging has been opened, do not use the contents.
